When you create an account and use ResumePolisher, we collect:
When you use the platform we may collect basic technical information including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session identifiers stored in cookies to keep you logged in.
We do not use tracking pixels, third-party analytics services, or advertising networks. We do not place advertising cookies on your device.
We do not use your resume content or job descriptions to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising — ever.
ResumePolisher uses AI language model services to power writing assistance features including resume summary generation, bullet point improvements, and job description drafting.
When you use these features, relevant portions of your resume content or job description are sent to our AI provider's API to generate suggestions. This data is transmitted securely and used only to fulfill your immediate request. We do not share your full name, contact information, or account details with AI providers — only the content fields needed to generate the requested output.
We will update this section if our AI provider changes. We choose providers whose data handling practices are consistent with the protections described here.
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. Security measures include:
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within a reasonable timeframe and describe what happened and what we're doing about it.
Access — View all resume content and account information by logging into your account.
Correction — Update your name, email, and resume content at any time from within the app.
Deletion — Delete individual resumes from your dashboard at any time. To delete your entire account and all data, email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete My Account" from your registered email address. We'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
Data Export — Export your resume as a PDF at any time. For a full export of raw account data, contact us.
Emails — Transactional emails (password resets, security notices) cannot be disabled as they're necessary for account security. Any future marketing emails will include an unsubscribe link.
We use one first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. It contains only a randomly generated session identifier — not your personal information — and is not used for tracking.
We do not use third-party cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, including data brokers, advertisers, or analytics companies.
If you use ResumePolisher as an employer or recruiter to create job descriptions:
ResumePolisher is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware we have done so, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top. For significant changes that materially affect how we use your data, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the platform after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
